Revvi 20: is it the right bike for your rider?

The Revvi 20 electric bike combines 20-inch wheels, an 800W brushless hub motor, full suspension and hydraulic disc brakes in a larger off-road bike for growing young riders.

Usually considered for riders aged around 10–14 years, it is a step up from smaller Revvi models. Physical fit, riding experience and control matter more than age alone.

Revvi 20 at a glance

Best suited to: taller, experienced young riders who need more room than a smaller electric bike offers.

Main features: 36V 800W hub motor, removable 36V 7.5Ah battery, three speed settings, full suspension and hydraulic disc brakes.

Before ordering: check rider fit, choose the correct colour and read the availability or preorder information on the selected product.

Why consider the Revvi 20?

Moving up a bike size should give a rider usable room and capability. The Revvi 20 brings a larger chassis and 20-inch wheels together with suspension and braking equipment suited to off-road riding.

Room for growing riders

A larger platform and adjustable saddle make it worth considering when a smaller bike has become cramped. Check the fit before choosing a bigger model.

Three speed settings

Selectable modes allow performance to be matched to the rider’s ability. Start with the lowest appropriate setting and progress when control is consistent.

Suspension and braking

Front and rear suspension help absorb uneven ground, while hydraulic disc brakes provide stopping control. Correct setup and maintenance remain essential.

Revvi 20 specifications

These specifications refer to the standard Revvi 20. The Revvi 20 Plus is a separate model with a different specification.

What age and size is the Revvi 20 for?

The Revvi 20 is generally considered for children aged approximately 10–14. That age range is a starting point: two children of the same age can need different bikes.

Our collection uses an approximate 140–165cm rider-height guide. Check this alongside inside-leg measurement, the 68.5–86.5cm saddle-height range and the rider’s ability to handle the bike.

Check these before choosing a size

  • Can the rider reach the ground securely at the appropriate saddle setting?
  • Can they comfortably reach and operate the brake levers and throttle?
  • Can they start, steer and stop without struggling with the bike’s size?
  • Are they within the 65kg maximum rider-weight limit?

If you are unsure, contact us with the rider’s height, inside-leg measurement and current bike before ordering.

If the Revvi 20 looks too large, compare the Revvi 18 range. Choosing a bike with room to grow is useful only when the rider can control it properly from the start.

How fast does the Revvi 20 go?

The standard Revvi 20 has three selectable speed settings: approximately 10mph, 16mph and 22mph. Actual performance varies with rider weight, terrain and battery condition.

Begin on suitable open ground with the lowest appropriate mode. Increase performance only when the rider can consistently manage the throttle, turns and braking.

Battery and charging

The removable 36V 7.5Ah lithium battery can be taken out for charging. Allow approximately 2 hours 30 minutes for a charge, following the supplied battery and charger instructions.

Ride time varies considerably with the selected mode, rider weight, hills, ground conditions and riding style. Compare the mode-specific estimates on the product listing rather than treating the longest quoted ride time as an expectation for every ride.

Revvi 20 vs other kids’ electric bikes

Compare fit and equipment alongside power. A model’s top speed alone does not tell you how suitable it will be for your child.

On smaller screens, swipe across the comparison table.

Model Main difference What to consider
Revvi 18 Smaller 18-inch wheels and a 36V 500W hub motor. Worth comparing if the rider finds the Revvi 20 too large or would benefit from a smaller bike.
Revvi 20 20-inch wheels, a 36V 800W hub motor and three speed settings. A larger option for an experienced young rider who fits the bike and needs more room.
Revvi 20 Plus A separate 48V model with a higher motor specification and larger battery. Compare its full specification and rider fit if you are considering more performance.
Amped A20 Pro Another 20-inch option with a 36V 800W motor and 36V 10Ah battery. Compare dimensions, controls, speed settings and equipment; matching wattage does not mean identical ride characteristics.

Revvi 20 questions answered

Is the Revvi 20 suitable for a beginner?

It is a larger, more powerful kids’ bike, so it should not be chosen by age alone. A complete beginner may benefit from a smaller or lower-performance model. Check fit, existing balance skills and the ability to operate the controls before deciding.

Is the Revvi 20 the same as the Revvi 20 Plus?

No. The standard Revvi 20 uses a 36V 800W motor and 36V 7.5Ah battery. The Revvi 20 Plus is a separate 48V model with different equipment and performance.

Does the Revvi 20 have pedals?

No. It is a throttle-controlled electric bike with foot pegs. It is not a pedal-assisted bicycle.

Can the battery be removed?

Yes. The standard Revvi 20 has a removable 36V 7.5Ah lithium battery. Use the correct charger and check compatibility before purchasing any spare battery.

Should I choose the Revvi 18 or Revvi 20?

Choose according to physical fit and riding ability. The Revvi 18 is the smaller option; the Revvi 20 provides a larger platform and a higher motor rating. Read our Revvi 18 vs 20 comparison to narrow down the choice.

Does it arrive fully assembled?

It is supplied approximately 85–90% assembled. Complete the assembly and all checks described in the supplied manual before use. Ask a competent technician for help if you are unsure.

What protective equipment should the rider wear?

Use a correctly fitted helmet, gloves, knee and elbow protection, suitable footwear and appropriate riding clothing. Supervise young riders and follow the manufacturer’s riding instructions.
